Correspondence of family members concerning daily life and activities. Of particular importance are the letters of "Colonel" James Drake and his wife Betsy to their son Frank while the latter was a student at Dartmouth College. Included are letters of Georgianna Drake Carpenter to her daughter Georgia while the latter was a student in Paris, France. Further information on the family may be found in Alice Smith Thompson's The Drake family of New Hampshire (Concord : New Hampshire Historical Society, 1962).
